i believe that he was on the right track after just looking at the cover of that book. WR said many times that hydrogen was the power of the future. with his way of transmuting he said that what we call "empty space" is actually the atoms smaller than hydrogen that we can't perceive. He said if you just change the spin of the atom it will compress into hydrogen from "empty space" which their is quite an abundance of. then using something like a fuel cell or whatever you need to get the hydrogen to do work. His optical dynamo generator supposedly concentrated magnetic force to mimic the way atoms are create and also was supposedly reported that it created light at the center and the heat of a sun....knowing what i have read from his works i truely believe it is possible but he himself had trouble getting it to work properly because it all worked on magnetic resonance in the proper shape and getting magnetic fields shaped exactly like you need them is not quite an easy task.
