In one of the Youtube vids Gadgetman mentions a documentary by the name “Gashole",
I highly recommend one get a copy of this documentary and look at the description one of the gentlemen talked about (±14 min into the movie) using an car AC vacuum pump drawing a vapor from normal gas and drive a car up to 100 miles to a gallon on it, (at least which is what I understood he said). This information is not described in detail but just a quick description as he showed what was done.
Maybe there is someone that wants to start tinkering with this concept,
