    Hi Marine,
not being an expert what so ever, I think you need to check every item of your SG and compare to the expected specs.
For instance, I had a 8 strands coil of #18, I was told it was explaining the 0.6 charging and other anomalies.
would you put a list here, we could briefly check , unless you have already done so.

oh. I call it the SG Matrix.
Just put your figures after the "...............".
        --------------------------------
        21 magnets ...............
        26 inch bike wheel ...............
free spin time above 8 minutes...............
130 ft 9 filar coil 8 20 gauge 1 23 gauge wound in attraction mode...............
        R60 core 3/4 inch diameter...............
        mjl 21194 transistors ...............
        470 ohm base resistors...............
        12 ohm final resistor...............
        1n4007 diodes...............
        neon across the e/c : ............... (y/n)
        gap coil top / magnet : ............... ___ mm

that is the checklist, each element I would say should match. If not, just put yours (for instance on my SG I have 22 magnets instead of 21).
Then we are able to spot any anomaly.

          It's this:
          18 magnets
          22" bike wheel
          850 turns bifilar coils

            Hey Marine.
850 turns - you do not know about your coil length ?
+ put your transistor models, resistor values, missing....

+ I see your coil is wound clockwise from bottom to up. that should be the counterclockwise (ie from a repulsion to a attraction mode)

all the parts are in the first picture. I'm not sure i'm following you??
My coil is the same as in the pic. I just did what Bedini has asked.
Coil length is aprox 3.5 inches

Yes ok but I'm not going to study your pictures ah ah !
just put the list you have here...what you have.
for the coil : how many strands do you have, what diameter, what length of wire ? (I have performance pbs with 100 ft for instance).

                  Hi Marine,

First of all, No! the neon will never glow when the circuit is connected to the battery (unless the Impedance of the Battery is close(and as high as) to the impedance of the 'un-glowing' neon bulb)
this happen only when a Capacitor is fully Charged, and typically when it crosses past the 90V Plus mark of the Neon glow-Discharge Voltage.)
                  Tell me few things..
                  1) what is your Battery AH capacity..?
                  2) Your charging current is way low for the results that you are looking for.!
Point no 2 can be solved by having a 6 filar coil to do the job for you with the Gen Mode described by JB in his DVD.
Once you do this the Battery will retain (or even exceed) its original mark of Standing Voltage of 13.4 V
let me know as you progress...

                    Hi Faraday.
                    I'm using 4.5ah SLA batteries.

I've just made my coil a trifilar by just adding another main coil to my bifilar. I didn't un ravel it all, i just added it on to. That's ok right?
My SG has been running for a couple of hours now with the new coil and i am now up to 13.10v going into the charge battery with the primary battery at 12.68v. RPM is around 129 and the circuit is drawing around 290ma from the primary battery.

                      hello there

im having the same effect on my rig
voltage accros the charging battery stays arround 12.0 to 12.2 volts going up and down
im using a pair of 70AH batterys witch were in verry bad shape to start from so i assume its the batterys condition in my case
starting voltage was 7.5 and 8.1 volts on these
but after every cicle i see a small improvement

im currently working on a new setup with 3 5 fillar coils in litz configuration based on a design by ron pugh

now just a question for you guys
what if i make the core in the coil larger? like 3 or 5 cm acros
also the new coils are 0.5mm wires single for the driver coil and 3 starand litz for the charger coil

                      anny comments welcome
