hay guys I am new here but not too new to the bedini motor. I have been playing with it for a little over a year now and just wanted to see how my little motor stacks up.
I will start of by telling you that its not a traditional set up, I have been using some little neos I got for free, no need to buy some thing if you can get it for free right. #2 I have added south facing magnets to up the performance, and my most of my electronics came from stuff I had laying around.
It is built on a old hard drive with 6 north magnets out on the edge and 6 south about half way back from the edge in the middle of the magnetic field of the norths, seems to make for faster switching and higher rpm. the magnets are 9/16h x 1/2w x 3/8 inch thick all messurements are in inches and I think they are n35s. they came out of pella sliding doors with the blinds inside the sealed glass, they use them to control the blinds. the coils are all recycled wire one has #20 and #24 wire and the other #22 and #26, or at least something close to that anyways. the transistors are the big ones right next to the flyback converter in a old tube stile tv, thats where most of the wire came from too.
my batts are just a mix of what ever I have sitting around. lawn mower, car, tractor, deep cells ect.
I run a 24v input. and this is where I need help my meter is cheap innova 3320 I got for automotive work, and it says the input amps are about 230ma to 290-300ma depending on how I have the resistance set up. it charges best at 240-260ma going in. now for the good part, so I think, the output is best I can tell 36-40v at 340-370ma and dose a nice job of charging 6 old lawnmower batts set up in two banks of 3 for the equivalent of a big 36v batt. they are 230cca no idea of the amphours though.
now for my Question AM I CRAZY OR IS THIS REAL, or is it just the high voltage bemf messing with my meter.
but then again I can run the charge batts down and this little motor will charge them back up in about 12 hours with out killing the two 14 amphour deep cells I have running it. I charge the primarys with a solar panel most of the time cuse its faster but the bedini seems to do a better job.
thanx, if you have any questions for me I will be around.
