I am experimenting with magneto's as generator coils attached to an extra wheel mounted on a ssg 8 coil machine.
When playing with this setup I found that when the magneto (from an old grass mower motor) was generating the spark there is also
a spike generated on the primary low windings side of the magneto and when this effect kicks in an lamp that was attached suddenly
was a lot brighter at no extra costs. I than thought that it would be better to charge a battery with it and I had no lenz effects on
the generator.
Finally I mounted three magneto's on the generator and it charges a battery (slowly but it charges), when I disconnect the battery and
leave the generator with no load the RPM's drop quite a bit. When I reconnect it the RPM's go up again.
I think this has some possibilities for OU.
