2 identical new batteries. do a charge, and discharge cycle at c20 a few times to see what true capacity is. do this with a standard charger and a fixed load like a DC lightbulb, or better yet a west mountain radio CBA 4. this unit wil give you graphs and is a great tool, not very expensive either. then use one battery as your primary and use its discharge current into your machine as the baseline for joules into and out of the machine. fully charge your primary battery before each run. discharge your secondary battery to the same voltage every time with a load that will discharge the battery at C20. discharge to 80% depth of discharge. standard cop protocol.
