  • My first report.

My first report for this group.
I first found JB’S group about 12 months ago and then this current group which i joined during July. Many thanks to John Bedini, Peter Linderman the administrators and others for the knowledge given freely to the group.
I have made the SG unit using information from JB’S videos, books and help from the group. Have used a 16’’ stainless steel wheel and the standard 2 wire coil to the standard specifications, then a 5 wire twisted coil giving better performance.
I purchased Ricks 3 Pole monopole kit some time back and the extra 6 magnet kit with the recessed rotor and Neo magnets to fit, which reports indicate that they are not suitable. The 6 pole kit spins at around 4k but had to bypass the 220 ohm resistor to do this.
I presume that the Neos are the reason for the loss of power?

I would appreciate some help with more details of Stair Step Charging as on disk 28, has anyone got this to work? Have not found the source in Aust. for a replacement for the 6 small Neo’s. Are they available??

Have just opened up the Bedini SG Beginners Handbook a magnificent presentation with good explanations of the circuit operation.
Interesting to find that a steel bike wheel is ok.
    George.

Howdy George. The original unit that the 3 pole kit was inspired by used Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) magnets, not neos. There is a whole thread about replacement magnets for that kit here: http://www.energyscienceforum.com/be...t-magnets.html

I used the SmCo magnets in my 6 pole rotor with that kit with great success. The SmCO magnets do not saturate the coil core material, so you get better switching. These magnets are available here: cPath_3_27 | products_id_251 | SmCo Magnets 3/8 in x 1/8 in Disc Samarium Cobalt Magnet - Applied Magnets & WindMax Wind Turbines

There is also a thread about my experiments with the 6 pole unit here: http://www.energyscienceforum.com/be...-charging.html

Have fun! It's a great little unit to experiment with. Lots to learn from it!
