Hi, I have a question concerning the correct gap between the coils and the magnets. What is the optimum distance if I would like to have the best performance?
Maybe somebody has any experience.
I find out if I go down very close (2mm) the primary current will increase which is logically from my point of view because the mechanical resistance is also increased.
But if I do so the charging current is also increased.
Normally I have 2 "Sweet Spots" which means the curcuit works correct. The first "Sweet Spot" give me a primary current of around 200mA. The 2nd is much lower (70-80mA).
Later I have planned to make further investigations with the LeCroy Waverunner 6050A Scope (500MHz/5Gs). I can borough it from our lab in my company.
