  • help w/ testing my coils.

    Greetings,

    I got a question.

How do you go about testing the coils?

Can you use a meter somehow and what should the numbers be?

I get 13.8 and 6.9 w/ my multi meter on all the coils
w/ it set to dc 200 ohms.

    am I doing it right?

    I use #23 and #26 wire aprox. 850 turns.

any help would be so appreciated.

Your coil is identical to ours and your measurements for ohms is within .1 of ours
We have been running it and charging batteries with it for about 5 yrs
So I say go ahead, finish your build and give it a spin oh yea maybe a few pics when you are done.

Hi ChangeMe here, New to building ssg. I have built two working models. one with a scooter wheel and one with a 26 inch bicycle wheel. Both work fine for a beginner. I can't find a single diagram to help me connect a second coil to the model. Can anyone help me find a drawing to connect a second coil to one of these. I have downloaded the bedini book for beginners but I seem to do better looking at a drawing or diagram. Thanks ChangeMe.

slave off of the power coils should work.. not sure how many Transistors your using, but I would add more if you are going to add coils. hope this helps.

By far my favorite of the coils I have made.

I did slave off the run coil and added 1 coil and it did speed up so I added another coil and it speeded up even faster. Does it charge any faster with the speed? I am only running 1 transistor.

ChangeMe, how many magnets do you have on the scooter wheel?

Greetings, try putting your power coils centered in front of your magnets and move your trigger coil slightly off center. Ive seen people speeding up the RPMs this way.
                        Hope this helps.
