    Hi All.

I have been lurking here for about 3 months while building my first SSG from scratch. I gave it a test run yesterday and it seem to be working very well- no neons lighting up and the wheel is spinning about 280-300 rpm. After watching Johns video's he strikes me as a bit crotchety and no-nonsense- (which are the guys you want to pay attention to because they are the ones that typically know what their doing)- so for those who are doing this the first time- FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS TO THE LETTER!!!!! Mine worked on the first spin and yours can too. BTW Yes the neons work as I connected a damaged battery and had 'Studio 54" from the neons doing their job. I have to get a couple amp meters so I can map and then "tune" it in before adding the cap dump. I cheated on the cap dump and just bought one from Johns site because I want to get a fully operational unit asap and will learn as I go. IE map it out with just the SSG, then add the CD and re map the times and energy draw vs output.
The first run is using what I had on hand -which is a 12v lawn mower battery ( input) and a "bad" 12v deep cycle marine battery (output). Just watching the voltages I can see the pulse charge bringing the marine battery back as each time the voltage drop in the input is less and less while the resting voltage of the output battery is increasing. However, until I map out the capacities with loads and charge times ect, I'll make no 'Claims" yet. This is just playing around so far. I have a bit of a background in this field being an Electro-Mechanical Technician for some 20 years, working on some very high end power conversion systems, ( US military). As usual, the old school guys berate me a bit, which is fine. Those are the guys who get stale and never break new ground, I am sure this group doesn't have many if any of those here.

    Hi Jimi and welcome.

Sounds like you have things well under control but if you need some advise feel free to ask. You can whip that deep cell back into shape, just keep bringing it up to full charge and run it back down at a c20 then repeat over and over. Eventually you will get higher peak voltage under charge and more capacity. I recover old batteries all the time. A lot of larger deep cells will peak a bit lower say high 14's to 15.2 or so while smaller starters are usually closer to 15.5 to 16 while under charge. You may not get up there at first but as the plates clean up you will.

    Nice looking machine

Thank you, so far so good- Famous last words! Right next to : I got a great idea, hold my beer. I'm sure i will be tapping the extensive knowledge here in my quest. No use paying for the same real-estate twice, so long as the lesson is learned and implemented properly. In a week or so, I'll have the basic instrumentation up to speed and then the fun starts. One question for sure is : I noticed a very sharp/ narrow pole swap between the magnets ( using a compass) as the wheel rotates by. It will be interesting to see what effect that has on the coil/wave form in light of the circuit timing and function, at that moment. And does that possibly fall into contributing to the better "quality" of electricity for the voltage pulse. I would think that reversal - though narrow in width, might be pretty intense. All theory for the moment. I'll be back when I get this first part figured out.

Hey JimiBee, I like your wheel. Bobzilla is exactly right about how to bring the bad ones back. That is how I do it too. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your experimenting.

          Hi Jimi,
I think what you are referring too is the "imaginary south". It does play a role in what is happening but I will let you play and observe your machine to draw a conclusion.

Mr. Bedini talks quite a bit about it and also the fields in general in the energy from the vacuum video's, I think it was the second one of the series.

Thanks Bobzilla ( love that name ! ) Could be. I haven't reviewed hardly any of Johns videos yet. I'm sure there is is a fair amount of tribal information contained there in that is helpful in filling in the theory of operation. Is there a place here on the site that has Johns video series, if not where would I find those?

            thanks Jimi
