With my method of winding, this should not be an issue????
Unless the poles vs stators are designed to fight each other, I've not come across a fan that has one pole for two adjacent stators.
Of course I have not taken apart that many :-)
Solid State on those cores rocks! you get some magnified buck boost w/ the CPD mod.
Hey Patrick, I tried to do a big 3 phase fan once. It had 12 stators and 10 poles on the rotor. Originally it was wired in "wye" configuration. Almost impossible to to a fan conversion to an SG circuit unless you wind all the stators bi-filar as you recommended. I also wanted to use it as a fan, so SS was not an option.
