Yes Konstantin, I am guessing that any non ferrous non magnetic coating would do as it acts as a magnetic isolating barrier. The eddy currents are contained within each rod, but it is still electrically conductive. You could coat your mild steel rods in gold and it should do the same thing. Just cost a bit more

No, gold this is too much
Today I asked with predilection the seller KEMPPI about of this rods. He told me that he never such rods are not provided.
But now I know that such TIG and MIG welding.Last edited by kingstingtin; 02-27-2013, 02:20 AM.Konstantin.

RG stands for Rod,Gas welding. this is a mild steel copper coated welding rod for oxy-acetylene gas welding tell your welding supply house you want oxy acetelyne gas welding rod mild steel, they will have something that will work. if you cannot find it copper coated, get the rod uncoated, let it rust a bit outside till there is a coating of rust on it. then wipe off the rod so it is smooth but rusty.

This factory produces only the electrodes and fluxes for electric welding.
And to me, as I understood, need filler rod for TIG and MIG welding. Or am I again that that not that looking for?Konstantin.

Hi everybody!
I have finally did what had to do long ago. Recently, I all the same bought a gel battery to 18 Ah to power the device.
Today I analyzed three cycles of charge, using the battery as a power source. And found a few interesting things.
My digital multimeter (Fluke) shows the current consumption device 350 mA.
Device operating time of about 101,000 seconds.
Based upon what Excel calculates the energy consumed about 10 Ah.
But after disconnecting the supply battery, voltage on it is about 12.4 V.
Which means that it still had 75% of their energy!
18 Ah - 75% = 4.5 Ah
So in fact, the device is used only about 4.5 Ah.
And actually the current will be about 160mA.
Maybe my device working as it should, but a multimeter is lying?
I need the resistance of 1 ohm 5 watts to test it.Konstantin.

Konstantin,
Sheez, 25 pages, just get it done and say thank you already. I used to think Russians were so smart with Bedini's help a ten year old American girl built one, what's up? If you are confused just contact Alexander Frolov Ïåðñîíàëüíàÿ ñòðàíèöà Ôðîëîâ Àëåêñàíäð Âëàäèìèðîâè÷ Web page Alexander V. Thank you, James, for the answer.
I also hope that the copper coating will change the situation for the better.
This means that the coil has to be exactly the same temperature as the environment.
I hope that did not ruined the battery yet another, and I'll wait for your parcel.
During the first four cycles, the battery capacity confidently increased.
In the end, it reached about 130% of its original capacity.
But then, the capacity started to decrease again.
Charging time continues to decline.Konstantin.

Now I bought a new battery and decided to rewind the coil. Because the wires were not tight enough are. This time, I decided to interweave the wires together.
And a little bit improved bottom coil. Made there way out for the wires.

I hope that this will make my device work better.
How did you discharge your battery? Did you just connect a resistor to the battery and then measure the current and time of discharging?
Thanks for your reply
