A few newbie questions.

Now I made a new brake coil body. This time, I tried to keep the size specified in the manual. Height of 3 inches (75 mm) and a diameter of 3 inches (75 mm) hole for the core a little more than 3/4 inch (20mm). I also made a wind-holes in the bottom of the spool.
Next week should bring the wires (#25 and #23). Of 50 meters each (about 160 feet, with a margin).

if you have a lathe turn down the core outside diameter. the closer the core is to the wire the better it works. the pittsfield spools have a spool core wall thickness of much less than that. otherwise you will need to be a bit closer on the distance to your magnet. the thinner the better

Today, I corrected the coil. Now, the thickness of the wall is equal to one millimeter (0.039 inch). The external diameter of the tube is 22 mm (0.866 in.) and the internal 20 mm (0.787 in.). I hope that will be enough.

Hi man, i just read your comments here, it looks like you did wrongly put the bedini circuit, i really want to help you please contact me , i am russian speaking person.
For better understanding of you device please tell us which parts do you used in your curcuit :
type of transistor PNP or NPN ?
Magnets do you use ceramic or neodymium magnets?
Which core material do you use, does it have such properties shown in this video ?

Why do you use such big resistance (i found out that starting with resistance higher than 2000 Ohm circuit going to selfoscillation) ?
Can you place a resistor 100 Ohm where you connect the charging battery? If resistor becoming hot, than something wrong with your curcuit.
How old your battery's, both power and charging battery?

I was a member of the forum that you specified. I wrote a lot there, until I realized it was useless. There I described in detail all the parts of my device.

I read all your comments, and it's clear that your system operates in wrong direction. I done many experiments (i am working on Bedini SSG since 2010) and i have some experience which you obvious luck. I hope that SG book which you have now, give you already enough information to solve the problem step by step, if not i would like to help you to solve the problem.

Yes, hooray! The book really helped! I really was not properly wound around coil. Now all up well. Current readings on the multimeter and oscilloscope are the same. The wheel spins up as it should.
Tom C, you are right about the manual edited by Miki. Because of him, I lost a lot of time.

the above is from the Beginners Guide that Rick F., Richard L. and I composed from various posts of JB's, Romers and various other sources in the very beginning of the SG and SSG builders groups, and was slowly updated over the years as new info became available....... then later was edited by Miki

During the early days of Sterling A's. SG Yahoo forum, Miki was one of the worst critics of JB's work, then right at the end, he must have seen something, as he did a complete 180 and started promoting the tech, and did the edit of the guide and posted it, and that edited guide is what is still on the SG Group now....... but he still did not know what was happening, as His guide edit, has many, many problems, and is NOT the same as the original Beginner's Guide, which was the way we were seeing it at the time, and may not be as accurate as the newer information you guys have compiled since then...........................

DO Not Use the SSG Guide that Miki edited, he still did not understand.............

JB would do well to have that guide removed from the YAHOO SG forum and replaced with a link to the new Guide that Arron has published........

The yahoo groups are closed, cannot be accessed by non members and are only for archive purposes. miki's document is already out in the wild unfortunately. The peswiki group needs to be edited.

I am talking about Sterling A's original Yahoo SG group that is still open to anyone to read and access the files, but has been closed to posts since right before Rick started the Monopole Yahoo groups...... this is where the Miki guide is posted to, and where PPL are finding it and getting misinformed...........................

There is a very interesting graph in the vid, starting around 1min30sec mark. I cannot read the horizontal time scale. Is it hours, one hour per mark? (can't read it)
Sure would like to understand that, also the vertical voltage scale -- can someone help?
