  • Securing your coils

    Hey guys,

I have access to some aluminium sheet, I was wondering if this is a suitable material for fabricating brackets to secure coils for my monopole. Any input would be much appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Dan,
Aluminium is a very excellent Conductor, a bulk Aluminium such as you Coil securer in your application is not recommanded
as it can retrad your Rotor due to Eddy Current Induction and eventually result a loss in the process.
do not use any Conductive meterial for this application. go ahead with any Insulating meterial.

Note : Aluminium rotor is used but it is always is in relative stationary with either the Coil's collasping Magnetic Field or the rotor Magnets.

    Rgds,
