  • New construction non-conducting material FYI

    Hi all,

I just finished up with the trim on my new house. It is all constructed of AZEK material......a cellular PVC mateial that is light weight strong and is easily glued together using just plain old PVC cement......something I know all of you know about. Once dry you cannot break the bond at the joint. This might be something to consider during your next build for a base or your own custom spools.

The material comes in white and has a grain texture one side and a smooth side the other. It can be sawed or drilled with any of our hand tools and is already finished white. It can also be heated and bent to a formed shape and allowed to cool. It comes in most standard board sizes like 1" X 12" and under....also fancy mouldings. It is not terribly expensive. It can also be glued to the round PVC pipe and fittings. I can't believe I never thought of this before!
