It seems you have a faulty transistor... Replace it with a new one and try the machine again. It should also be noted that the power connections to the primary battery should be hooked up last or at least after the charging battery is fully connected to prevent any future transistor damage... This should especially be done when working with multi coil machines and higher working voltages on the primary... Don't ask me how I know this!
