well lm555, ne555 etc. are different names of the same IC. It's just that it is built by a different manufacturer. Now, the "c" after the lm (lmc555) part usually defines the cmos versions of the timer. You don't need that, you need the standard 555 timer so you should ask for the lm555 or ne555. The same goes for the 556.
